Since 2003, the Boxall family has joyfully participated in a renowned global Santa Claus congress, originally held in Bakken, Denmark. In 2016, multiple generations of the Boxall family, including parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren, came together to celebrate this cherished tradition. The Boxall’s were proud to be among the few families with multiple members honored to serve as Santa ambassadors, with younger family members joining as enthusiastic elves, adding to the festive spirit.

This beloved congress, a tradition since 1957, brought delight to attendees annually until it was paused due to the global impact of Covid. In 2022, the original venue concluded its sponsorship, but the enduring spirit of the event continues to thrive.

Unlike typical gatherings, this congress is far from ordinary. Santas, Mrs. Claus, and elves come together to share their passion for spreading joy, hope, and holiday cheer. From lively parades and unique activities to engaging contests and cultural exchanges, the event fosters a sense of global unity and celebration.

In 2023, to celebrate Peter Boxall’s 90th birthday and fulfill one of his lifelong dreams, the Boxall family worked tirelessly to bring this cherished congress to Canada for the first time.

The inaugural event was a resounding success, filled with joy, connection, and festive spirit. Peter Boxall Sr. passed away shortly after the conclusion of the first Canadian Congress, and everyone was deeply grateful that he was able to see his dream come to fruition.
